Olfaction immediately plunges us into the magical world of this prestigious cru. Exhibiting an exceptional aromatic purity, aromas of fresh mango, dried linden flowers and ginger create a nose which is mesmerizing. On agitation, we experience aromas of spices (reminding us of the ginger in the first nose), a refreshing minerality, rich, unique and accentuated by the perfume of black tea. On the palate, it is full of flavour and chiselled by a beautifully fresh acidity followed mid-palate by accents of white pepper, marmalade, fresh pineapple and fresh hazelnut. The finish is volatile with a touch of verbena and a pleasant acidity. This is a wine, which is precise and complete. In short, Yquem in all its magnificence.
