Ardbeg Uigeadail is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Ardbeg distillery on the Isle of Islay. It is a vatting of whisky matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at 54.2% ABV. Uigeadail is Gaelic for “dark and mysterious place” and is named after the loch from which the Ardbeg distillery draws its water. The whisky has a deep, smoky flavor with notes of dried fruit, toffee, and spice. It has won numerous awards, including the World Whisky Awards’ “World’s Best Single Malt” in 2010 and 2011.
