This wine is young and rustic. Tannins show strongly, with a barnyard character that will need to disappear for the wine to be drinkable. Underneath, there is some attractive black currant fruit that hopefully will develop.
One of the stellar regions of the Haut-Mdoc, Margaux boasts a host of blue-chip chteaux, dominated by the eponymous First Growth: Chteau Margaux.
