This deep red wine from Valencia (Spain) has a floral, meaty and slightly spicy nose. The palate echoes the same with fine tannins and crisp acidity. Good with rich foods like beef short ribs, pork shoulder, barbecue and lamb.
Made from 100% Monastrell in Alicante from old bush vines situated on calcareous, sandy and gravelly soils. Yields are consistently low. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel before a few months’ ageing in the same tanks.
