Deep, dark, ruby center with garnet reflections at the rim. Dark raspberry, crushed red currant, and soft plums fill the nose alongside dried herbs, dusty red soil, and a kiss of iodine. The mouthfeel is soft and elegant, with woodsy tones far in the background. Medium-plus in body with polished tannins, its got really good balance and a vibrant, juicy red-cherry character that shows a bit of mocha toward the finish.
