Excellent single malt from Islay’s Lagavulin Distillery, which has enjoyed a finishing period in Pedro Ximnez casks. The whisky was distilled back in 2005, and eventually bottled up in 2020 as part of the long-running (and much-adored) Distillers Edition series. The intense peaty wafts pair well with the Pedro Ximnez sweetness, making for a delicious, flavoursome, and thoroughly distinctive dram.
