The base spirit of Fords Sloe Gin is the London Dry Gin, distilled at London’s Thames Distillers using nine carefully selected botanicals. They steep sloe fruit from England and France in high-proof Fords Gin for 12 weeks to extract the sloe flavor.
Fords Gins second Journey in Gin takes the company back to England to produce its version of Sloe Gin. The recipe combines the classic Fords London Dry Gin recipe with hand-picked sloe fruit from England and France that is steeped for 12 weeks. The liquid is then sweetened with sugar to balance the naturally bitter flavor of sloe fruit. This limited release is cut to 29 ABV and currently only available in select markets in the United States.
