Deep and mysterious at first sight, the 2018 vintage is rich and velvety on your palate. There is an interesting balance of earth and fruit, with traces of sweet beets, dark plums and chocolate. Though this silky wine will pair with anything, our thoughts are going to salty popcorn by the fire or Dutch Gouda cheese with some black truffle mustard.

The extended aged version of the Fracture, the 2018 Fracture 22 is the same wine as the base Fracture but spends an additional 6 months in barrel. Its largely in the same mold with its saturated purple hue and a ripe, sexy bouquet of cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as more spicy, meaty, and white chocolate-laced aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, powerful, and straight-up seamless on the palate, it has polished tannins, not a hard edge to be found, and a great finish. Paso Robles Syrah doesnt get much better!
