Produced from a blend dominated by Merlot (73%), supplemented by Cabernet Franc (27%), Chteau de Ferrand 2019 has a deep, intense purple colour with a garnet edge. On the nose, it reveals a charming bouquet of cooked and jammy black berries coated with floral notes of lavender and violets, forest floor, and a touch of licorice. The palate is velvety and moderately full-bodied. The ripe, juicy black fruit core expresses its freshness in the mid-palate, supported by a silky tannic line and a soft texture, to finish with an elegant, spicy-tinged finish.
