Chteau Talbot gets its name from an ancient British soldier, Connetable Talbot, who was killed in a battle at Castillon in 1453. In the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, this Saint-Julien estate was ranked as a 4thGrowth. Since 1917, the Chteau has been owned by the Cordier family. Beginning in 2007, the family renovated the cellars, winemaking facilities, and vineyards to enhance the wine’s quality.
Caillou Blanccomes from Sauvignon Blanc and Smillon vines planted in the 1930’s byGeorges Cordier. The wineis a blend of 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Smillon fermented and aged in oak barrels, with regular bttonage for 8 months. The result is a lively, aromatic wine with great richness and depth of flavor.
