White gold with green tints. Great aromatic intensity with floral notes of white flowers such as hawthorn, acacia, eglantine, and elderflower, backed by blackcurrant buds leaf. Lively on the palate, with flinty notes and lovely citrus acidity. Long finish.
Sancerre is a wine producing region that enjoys considerable mystique. It is the home of Sauvignon Blanc and Comte Lafond part of the Baron de Ladoucette range. Comte Lafond Grande Cuvee is a beautiful, clean and pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc. There is a notable absence of oak or any interventions that might interfere with the floral, fruit and mineral characteristics that are the hallmarks of a really fine Sancerre.
