“One of our most limited production items, Michters 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye continues the legacy of Americas first whiskey variety (rye) from Americas first whiskey company (Michters, originally known as Shenks). After a nearly three year absence from the market, Michters then Master Distiller Willie Pratt finally gave the green light for the re-release of Michters 10 Year Straight Rye in April 2014.”

Chatham Imports, the new owners of the Michter’s name started a new company called Michter’s Distillery LLC, and operated as an NDP for a number of years, meaning they sourced their whiskeys from other distilleries and bottled it under their own name. Many of these releases have been incredibly sought after, with some early releases of their Michters 10 year old single barrel bourbons rumored to have been sourced from the legendary Stitzel-Weller Distillery.
