From the rolling elevations at the Rising Vineyard in the Christmas Hills, winemaker Tom Belford crafts wines that express both the power and grace of this unique part of the Yarra Valley. Rising Wines is a new and exciting project for Tom. Sourcing small premium parcels of fruit from emerging varietals in the vineyard, his aim is to produce wines of beauty and clarity that are surprising yet authentic. Free and unrestricted in his winemaking approach and with a philosophy of minimal intervention, each wine is allowed to express fully its origins. Tom also makes wines for his Bobar label has been the winemaker for the past 10 years responsible for the widely popular Sticks family of wines.
