This wine has a nose of brambly fruits of the wood and black-olive paste. It is agreeably savory, with flavors of cassis, dark plums, black truffle, dried mountainside herbs and a touch of cedar. Tannins come on hard and heavy, but resolve as acidity makes its presence felt.
